Effective Communication in a Hospital Setting is a great article I just read and wanted to pass along to you. Author Patricia Grace is the founder of Aging with Grace. As a Certified Senior Advisor, she offers in depth knowledge on Medicare/Medicaid and Long Term Care insurances. She appears frequently on TV and radio discussing topics from senior housing to caregiver stress in the work place.
Her article has a lot of helpful information aboutall the different papers you need to have filled out in advance and what to bring to the hospital (or have someone else get for you later) as well as Information You Need to Provide to Hospital Personnel, such as a medical history, allergies, medications you are taking, etc.
This is not only a great article to read, but one to print out and keep at the front of your medical paperwork for future reference.
