New Blog Carnival Features Christians who Live with Illness

Rest Ministries, the largest Christian organization in the U.S. that serves the chronically ill, is starting a Blog Carnival and invites bloggers to participate.

If you have a blog where you write about your chronic or invisible illness and also your faith in Jesus Christ, you are invited to send your best post each month.

“There are some amazingly gifted writers on the internet who share about the ups and downs of living with chronic or invisible illness and also their faith,” says Lisa Copen, founder of Rest Ministries. “We are eager to be able to share their message with more people and celebrate how people find a purpose in their pain.”

The carnival will start in April 2009. You can submit your blog posting at .

April’s theme is surprise! How has illness surprised you? What surprise has your family given to you? How have you surprised a hurting friend? What surprise would you have preferred not to receive? Any post that has to do with “surprise” will be considered.

I am a newbie to the Blog Carnival concept. Do you need us to submit our blog post about “surprise” after it has been published on our website in April? Do you need to preview the blog itself first? The directions for this may be in the article, but I’m not able to find them – and I’ve not done this before!
