“The Fit Christian” Magazine

Publishing a magazine is difficult. As you know… I’ve had my struggles, but I am thrilled to say we are sending it off to the printer this week! I will keep you posted on it’s progress and let you know when it ships. Please cover it in prayer that it will all go smoothly and that the costs will be covered in the next couple of months.

Knowing the challenges of following your passions and the earthly struggles is one of the reasons I appreciate Angela Perez, editor (and organizer – wear-er of many has!) of  "The Fit Christian". It’s an online magazine, but (1) it looks like a REAL magazine (2) it’s free!

I know fit may be the last thing you feel, but Angela has published articles on illness in the past and it’s also a great resource to pass on to someone you care about who would enjoy it! Any time I can support another Christian who is putting out  a great resource I get excited!

And guess what…? It has FOOTBALL stuff in it, so pass it along to those men!

Fitchristian Articles include

Features:
New Year’s Resolutions: Perhaps you’ve been good at keeping New Year’s resolutions, but I never have been. You begin with sincerity and really want to make improvements in your life. But it is so hard to develop new habits isn’t it?…

Tips to Make Healthy Resolutions Stick: Whether it’s fitting in time for exercise, packing tasty and nutritious snacks, or cooking a balanced meal at home, Americans are committing to healthy lifestyles in 2008…

Quit Smoking: Some smokers may not want to carefully plan their next quit attempt in order to become smokefree. According to recent research,
successfully quitting may not always require advance planning…

Flavor Up Your Game Day Party: For big flavor during your big game get-together, use sausage in a variety of dishes–it’s sure to make you the MVP of the party…

Healthy Hand Hygiene: Every three minutes, a child puts a hand in his/her nose or mouth. Considering that some viruses and bacteria can live two hours or longer on surfaces like cafeteria tables and doorknobs that children touch throughout the day, it is easy to see how clean hands are critical to avoiding sickness…

Spotlight: Anthony Schlegel: Anthony Schlegel was a Dallas Texas area boy who trained at the Metroflex Gym in Arlington during his high school days. Success in football at the Air force Academy led him to Ohio State, and later the NFL draft. He completed his rookie year with the New York Jets and is now with Cincinnati Bengals.

Bring the Big Game Home: Just because you don’t have tickets to this week’s most talked about football matchup doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself on game day. Why not use the opportunity to fire up the barbecue, gather friends and family, and bring the tailgating party home?…

Blessings,

Lisa
